So, I was curious about how we all ended up here…what role did you first see Tony in?
What is your favorite role Tony has ever had?

lol have you checked it out? Honestly, it’s not exactly my kind of thing but I read the first book out of curiosity (Mara Wilson “told” me to, you can download the first ebook on amazon anyway) but it ended up much better than I had expected.
Not my kind of book either, but now I’m curious. How did you find out he was the inspiration?
The author made a post about in the inspiration for each character on tumblr.

2nd February 2016 at 4:58 PM #873What book series is that?
The Boss series by Abigail Barnette. I finished watching Buffy before reading the last book, so when I were reading it I thought the character sounded so much like Giles.
You. Are. Kidding Me! Wow.

28th January 2016 at 6:28 PM #868This is kinda funny, but I knew about Anthony Head because he’s the physical inspiration for a character from a book series I love.

I thought he was good-looking and I was curious so I started to look through his IMDb page and found out about Repo (“a horror musical with Sarah Brightman?? Why haven’t I heard of it???”). Tony’s performance totally blew me away. Then I started to listen to his music and became engrossed in Buffy (I fell in love with Giles even before watching the show). Now there’s no going back.
I haven’t seen many films but for now Giles is my most favorite :D:D

18th January 2016 at 7:47 PM #860Who else but Rupert Giles?
8th January 2016 at 2:29 AM #840I do remember that I watched Buffy when I was little. However, other than knowing that I watched it I remember nothing of it. Then I watched a little bit of Merlin, but I still hadn’t taken notice yet. I only watched it one night because I suck at keeping up with shows on tv. It wasn’t until last year that I found, and started binge watching, Buffy again and I was hooked. I’d say that his role as Giles is probably my favorite because it was the role that brought him to my attention.
7th January 2016 at 11:14 PM #837Many have asked indirectly for it–on FB group, at least. Hoping it does somehow. I like having both.
I think some asked directly about it on here and we were told that it will come back in some form. I believe Craig said it would be used whenever Tony does another live chat. Don’t know if we would get to keep it though.
Ugh…I’ve already missed content on the forum. Grumble.

7th January 2016 at 9:31 PM #835oh yes the live chat was the point of no return
And it was the birth of the HeadRoom. I don’t think we would of joined so closely as a fandom without the HeadRoom. It was even created before our FB group.
I skipped [most of] the one and only powder day we had because of that live chat

Are there plans to bring it back in conjunction with the forum, or is it gone for good?

7th January 2016 at 5:41 AM #827So much fun to read all the answers. I suppose I should answer my own question, too…
Buffy is likely the first thing I saw him in. Giles was always my favorite character and I did look him up in a few things, such as Merlin. It was his singing that really started to get my interested. And then I watched a few interviews on YouTube that was was actually what did it. I enjoy quality acting, I love a handsome face, an incredible voice is powerful, but if you combine all those with a nice, lovely human being then I’m hooked.
My husband (who has been humorously tolerant for years of another actor I am nuts about and save every scrap about) deployed last August for a year. And that’s when I really began to hunt down everything Tony had been in. I’m so glad I had to go to his website for his last album or I never would have found you guys. So part of this newfound fascination is a distraction from missing my husband. We still have 6 months to go. But now that I’m here, you won’t be rid of me.

Favorite role? Well, yes, Giles. Nathan Wallace is probably a close second. I can’t describe why except to say that the acting is SO incredible and he gets to sing the whole time! Score! Repo is NOT a movie I would ever have watched. Totally not my thing. But I found it so fascinating I find myself singing songs from the movie, even songs Tony doesn’t sing!
I totally love Ed, too. He’s so young a heart and warm and I love his relationship with Lauren. So full of happiness and love. When are they releasing series 2 in the US?

6th January 2016 at 6:17 PM #823Maybe 5 years ago friends of mine encouraged me to watch Buffy. I started with the first season and my interest fizzled out. But hey that librarian was cool. Maybe a year later I saw Repo and thought it was super cool and loved the Repo Man though I didn’t know it was the same guy from Buffy. About a year and a half ago more friends said I had to watch Buffy but skip the first season. That made all the difference. Loved the show, eventually rewatched the first season, and my love for Giles began. Few months later and I’m searching for more Tony shows, pics, interviews, and eventually fellow fans. That first live chat with Tony happened in February and there was no going back. Favorite role: So hard. I suppose Nathan Wallace because I adore his singing. I like dark twisted shows so Repo totally worked for me. However…the talent of his acting through the arc of David Whele is amazing. Would be a close second.

6th January 2016 at 5:28 AM #821I don’t remember what I first saw him in… must have been 2010-ish, in either Doctor Who or maybe Little Britain? Merlin can’t have been much later either… In any case I was impressed enough to sit up and take notice, and I’ve associated his name with great acting ever since. And then about half a year ago I got into Buffy, and that’s when I became truly enthusiastic about him. Funnily enough he was one of the reasons I started watching it in the first place, so cause and effect are strangely jumbled there… Anyway, I watched through six seasons no problem, everything within normal parameters, just enjoying myself, and then -BAM!- Giles returns at the end of s06e21 with a flash of green lightning and suddenly I find myself typing “Anthony Head” into the search boxes of various websites for days on end. Um, have I strayed a bit off topic here? I’m sorry. So, short answer: Why am I here? Buffy.
Favourite role, that’s always such a cruel question, because you can’t just say “all of them”… Can I break it up into categories or something?
I want to hang out with Chester Grant, because he’s always game for anything and so wonderfully immature. I want to wrap James up in a blanket and protect him, because deep down he’s really sweet and naive and he deserves to be happy. I love how annoyed Maurice gets with everyone, because I get annoyed too all the time and I wish I could look half as intimidating

I have a serious weakness for Paracelsus. I just love a good villain, and he’s perfect. Reeve Maupassant from the Excelis audios as well. Actual goosebumps.
David Whele deserves a special mention too. That was one hell of a journey! I’ve rarely seen a character go through so many changes - and I mean well written, logical changes. And Tony played every facet so expertly. Such a shame we’ll never know what would have happened next.
Uther Pendragon! Oh man, Uther has a very special place in my heart. I keep siding with him even when I know I shouldn’t…
Fran mentioned Henry Hutton as the role that disturbed her the most - I was not disturbed as such (although I probably should have been), but I was deeply impressed by Tony’s performance. It has so many layers, and… I don’t know, I can’t put my finger on what makes it just slightly more impressive than all the other roles, but it’s just so fascinating. So I’d say Henry Hutton is probably my favourite in terms of sheer acting skill.
(I just realised, I might as well just have said “all of them” ;p )
At the end of the day though, I guess my overall favourite character has to be Giles. There. Not original, but true.
6th January 2016 at 12:01 AM #820
What role did you first see Tony in?

First role I ever saw Tony in was as Clive Martel in Enemy At The Door. I was totally hooked on him right then, but since it was a British TV show that aired on PBS. I didn’t expect to ever get to see him again due to the fact that MOST British TV shows did not it over here to the states at all back then. I am so glad that it turned out that what I expected to happen didn’t and I that I have gotten to see him in some amazing roles over the years and I hope to get to see him in many more amazing roles to come.

What is your favorite role Tony has ever had?

That is a difficult question to answer since Tony has played so many amazing characters and it is difficult to pick just one.

But now I can tell you the character that Tony played that disturbed me the most… And that character would be Henry Hutton. Tony is an amazing actor and he just was chilling to watch as Henry Hutton in “Silent Witness: Two Below Zero” I don’t want to say to much in case anyone hasn’t seen him in this role. His performance in this role sticks with you long after the credits role.

5th January 2016 at 7:29 PM #819First was Buffy, which I found after discovering reruns of Angel. Couldn’t stick with Buffy back when it first aired-tainted by the original movie’s horribleness, I guess. I remember thinking, “Oh a better version of Wesley…sweet.”
I think after seeing discovering Tony’s singing ability, and consequently his flexibility with characters like Franknfurter, I became somewhat obsessed

Favorite role(s): Giles, Uther, James
5th January 2016 at 7:23 PM #818first time I saw tony was in a kids tv show called woof my favourite role would be Giles and of cause my favourite show would be buffy I love every role that he plays as hes so good at everything he dose
5th January 2016 at 6:27 PM #817Damn, I can’t edit

yes I love him rather on the good side
5th January 2016 at 6:23 PM #816First was probably in Buffy when it aired in the mid 90’s, but the spark came 2 years ago when I was searching for some random informations about dogs, learned about Sarah and found out who was her partner and how involved they were with animals.
At the time Buffy was on rerun on TV, I looked up some videos about Sarah and Tony, and I was hooked
