Idk how many other lgbt folks there are on here (I feel like there’s always a ton in fandom) but I just wanted to have a little thread for those of us feelin’ low about all the Orlando stuff. If people wanna donate and stuff there’s definitely places on the internet to go do that. Nothing else except that I love you all and here’s a really dumb cat video website to cheer you up maybe.

I try to avoid comments like “it didn’t used to be this bad” because that’s often not even true, but this feels that way to me. That it’s getting worse. Maybe it’s just how the media reacts now or that the US is so polarized, but it feels worse and worse every day. And when I look at the politicians who are gaining popularity and their message… It makes me SO disappointed in the American people. It almost makes me ashamed to be an American. I hope this feeling will pass, that I can focus on the long lines for donating blood instead of one unbalanced person filled with hate, but right now…. I guess right now all I can really focus on is all the others filled with hate around me.
