Word.
Call me Mainy. I’m 32 and I live just outside Bath, UK in the rolling beauty of the west-country. Previously a life-long city dweller I’m adjusting to a more rural idyll. I share my home with my awesome partner-in-crime and two naughty but delightful cats.
By day I attempt to educate teenagers in Wiltshire; instructing them in the strange and wonderful ways of English/Drama/Media (to varying degrees of success). Obviously, just like every other English Teacher there’s a stuggling writer hoping to get out some day. Therefore I spend the summers writing bad plays.
The rest of my life can be summed up with this list (in ascending order of priority): cheese, tea, snowboarding, Radio 4, poetry (Don Paterson is where it’s at), drinking beer in cosy pubs, dancing terribly with feverish abandon, asking questions and taking pictures of interesting stuff.
Nice to meet you all.
28th February 2016 at 10:10 AM #966Guess I should go next?
Hello all,
I’m HerrDarcy (Selena in RL). I’m living in North Carolina, USA with my fiance and our cat Mr. Darcy (who still doesn’t believe he is a cat and not a dog, but we don’t judge). I’m currently unemployed, full time wedding planning really. I was a concierge/security guard for a while… not really sure how I ended up doing that. I majored in History Secondary Education with a minor in Judaic, Holocaust, & Peace Studies (basically means I am qualified to teach high school history). One day I hope to actually use my degree
15th February 2016 at 12:49 PM #909Stephanie said I should do it few weeks ago, so here it goes.
Hey there, Lilith here. (Paulina in RL, but friends call me Paula), I’m 31, born and raised in Poland, but currently living and working in Oslo, Norway. I work as a landscape gardener and I’m addicted to spending most of my salary on DVDs. Or on travelling to conventions and other geeky events
17th January 2016 at 12:26 AM #859I’m not so good at this, but here goes - hi, my name is Jessica. I’m 31 and live in NY, USA. I’ve been working with animals since I was a teenager ; at a no-kill shelter for the last 17 years, and as a technician at a veterinary hospital for the last 10. You might say it’s my passion.
15th January 2016 at 3:26 PM #855Hello! My name’s Castalia, but I go by Caz. I’m turning 20 next month and I’m studying to be an illustrator. I live in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with my mom, my sister and our puppy Sushi (I didn’t choose the name tho). I’m a very new Headroomer and I’m trying to watch as many Tony films as I can

Studying to be a librarian? Very cool. I imagine these days it’s not just card catalogs.

9th January 2016 at 10:16 AM #843I really don’t think I am good at telling things about of myself, but here goes…
Hi my name is Fran and I have no fear to say exactly what I am thinking and that annoys some people. So people either like me or they don’t because of that, but I am going to be just me and not be anyone different than who I am.
I’m from South Georgia in the USA
I am an only child and I live with my mother. We have 2 cats, 2 birds and the neighbors 2 dogs who have decided they want to be ours instead of the neighbors. My father passed away several years ago and I still miss him every single day.
My hobbies consist of reading, listening to music, doing arts & crafts and fanart. I also like to do something that alot of people find to be strange about me. I love to walk through cemetaries and read the information on the head stones, grave markers etc.. The older the cemetary the more interesting I find them to be.
And on that I pass the torch to the next Headroomer who’s turn it will be to share about themselves.
8th January 2016 at 7:16 PM #842Now my turn I guess:
I’m Casandra (Casy) I’m 44 and live in Germany - in the northern part of Bavaria
I work as a secretary for my self-employed husband and part time in a supermarket filling up shelves.
I’m a proud mother of two lovely girls (18 and 9) and we share our home with two cats - Giles and Maunz, two rabbits - Cookie & Tinchen and a bunch of fishes in our aquarium.
Due to my secretarial work I spent quite a lot of time online….also due to the fact that I distract myself a lot with Facebook, Twitter and tumblr (utherwasntallthatbad)
8th January 2016 at 6:04 AM #841My name is Ann Marie… obviously. I am staring 40 in the face unflinchingly. I USED to wear a lab coat. I have a BS in Marine Biology which I used some before going in the Navy. I met my husband in. I did 6 years as a officer and then got out and tried to go back to the lab coat I loved but got sick of not having any influence so I started my own business. I have a small postal and copy store I own and operate. Mother to two incredible kids, Andrew and Lynn, both adopted from China. Hubby Darin and I celebrate 12 years next week. And we live in beautiful San Diego.
On the furry side we have 2 kitties, Artie and Layla. Darin is navy reserves and is currently deployed to Bahrain where, if you can believe it, he rescued an abandoned domestic bunny. We’ve always had bunnies but our dear Celia pasted away last year so this is incredible. Yousif the bunny will be coming home with him in July. And Darin comes home then, too… yeah, that may be the more significant event.
8th January 2016 at 2:24 AM #839Hello, thought I would jump on this too.
I’m cococrystals, or coco for short, and Katelyn IRL. I’m 19 and I’m a university student studying Mathematics and Korean in Pennsylvania, USA. However my home is in Ohio. Since I spend so much of my time in both states I always feel the need to mention both. During the fall semester I’m very busy because I’m a member of my university’s marching band in which I play clarinet. In the spring I struggle with trying to decide whether I want to pick back up the oboe or tenor sax in the concert band or just taking some time off to relax. In what free time I manage to scrounge up I read, write, and do pretty much whatever. My parents have a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher possibly Rat Terrier mix named Fynn that I’m happy to claim as mine when I’m home, and I have a hamster named Mopi that I keep with me at school.
8th January 2016 at 1:29 AM #838Might as well! I’m Violetstorm, you can call me Alice or Violet, whichever.
Age 23. Live in Texas with some roommates.
Have a fat orange cat named Milo. I draw a bit and write a bit (sometimes both! I’ve done a couple of short comics) and am just sort of trying to muddle through university atm. I’d like to maybe do something in Radio, Television or Film but atm I’m just taking a small break from uni to get my bearings I guess.
Seems we’ve got a very science-y crowd around here!
7th January 2016 at 9:28 PM #834Here we go…
I’m amelia aka saxnfoos (Amelia IRL…though sometimes I’m not sure it’s so real).
I am 40 and live in San Francisco. Yes I wear slippers even when it’s 50deg F out.
I have a BA in sax music performance, but I’m currently a software engineer by day. Still play gigs, but I now only take ones that don’t shorten my lifespan.
I share my home with my hubby-also a sax player who is thoroughly hooked on Rocky Horror now-my son who is making my hair turn white and our two indoor white cats. If our home + backyard were larger, we’d have a Queensland Blue and an Alaskan Malamute.
Next!
7th January 2016 at 9:08 PM #833… seems like so far all of us are wearing lab coats at work XD
7th January 2016 at 9:05 PM #832Oh, great idea!
Hello!
My name’s Kristina, I’m 35, I live in Germany in a town called Braunschweig, which happens to be Bath’s twin city (I’ll never tire of mentioning that because it makes me so happy).
My mum and our cat Miri are my… I think you could say flatmates; and we’ve been saving money over the last few years (well, the cat hasn’t) and are now looking to buy an actual house of our own. I hope it works out, I’ve always dreamed of it.
I work in a pharmacy with slightly unusual (for Germany at least) opening hours, which means sometimes I have to get up at 5 in the morning and other times I come home at 11 at night; sometimes I’ll work all weekend and sometimes I get random days off. I actually like the variety, though it can be a bit tricky to remember what day it is.
I’m relatively new to this fandom, but so glad to be here, and I can’t wait to read everyone else’s profiles.
You can find me on facebook here (I don’t actually post anything much there, but it’s a way of contacting me I suppose, should anyone want to).
7th January 2016 at 8:56 PM #831Ok I’ll bite:
I’m amyfawlty (Amy IRL unfortunately not a Fawlty). I’m 34 and live in Texas. For Now.
I work as a chemist in a water lab. For now. I’m applying to PhD programs (or a Masters in France or Germany!).
I share my apartment with my computer…my games…my books…yeah that sounds pretty lame. It’s super small and I want a house before I get a dog.
7th January 2016 at 8:20 PM #830I start:
I’m Emerys (Stephanie IRL), I’m 41 and I live in France, 25 kms in the south suburb of Paris.
I work as a technician in a hospital pathology lab.
I share my home with a shiba-inu dog named Aodhan, and a rescue bird sparrow named Dinky, I pay the bills and they rule the appartment.
Hello to all the Headroomers, old and new!
Your turn
